By promoting a SIMOA approach in Little Wonderland we are building a foundation for our children to grow, learn and explore with a deeper understanding of safety, responsibility and respect.

Article 19- The right to protection;

Developing safety in our setting allows us to ensure our children are safeguarded from potential risks. Learning how to keep themselves safe and identify potential risks and how to avoid these are important for all. 

Using visuals in our playrooms and garden:  pictures, posters, and labels around the spaces to remind children of key safety rules.

SIMOA in the community- While out on our walks in the community we are bringing SIMOA along with us , Our children participate in completing our risk assessments, ensure we all have our vests on and do head counts. This gives children a key role in being responsible for their own safety as well as their peers.

This approach helps children understand and remember these safety concepts in a way that’s engaging and accessible.
