1. Introduction

Little Wonderland Nursery Ltd is committed to providing safe, high-quality and compassionate early learning and childcare. We recognise the importance of being open and honest with children, parents, carers and families when something goes wrong with the care provided.

The organisational Duty of Candour procedure supports our commitment to openness, transparency and learning when a child or other person experiences an unintended or unexpected incident resulting in harm, as defined by the legislation.

This annual report provides information about how we have implemented the Duty of Candour during the reporting period from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.

The report has been prepared in accordance with the Duty of Candour Procedure (Scotland) Regulations 2018 and relevant Scottish Government guidance.

2. Number and nature of Duty of Candour incidents

During the reporting period, 0  incidents met the criteria for the organisational Duty of Candour procedure.

5. Policies and procedures

Our Duty of Candour arrangements are supported by our organisational policies and procedures, including:

• Incident Reporting and Management;

• Child Protection and Safeguarding;

• Health and Safety;

• Medication Management, where applicable;

• Complaints and Feedback;

• Risk Assessment and Management; and

• Duty of Candour.

These procedures help ensure that incidents are identified, reported, reviewed and used as opportunities for learning and improvement.
